Medical Intensive Care

I work in Albuquerque at Lovelace Women's Hospital in the Adult ICU. It is a small unit with a total of 8 beds. We care for critical patients and intermediate care patients. On occasion, we do receive OB patients, majority of them are post cesarean section or eclampsia patients.

Clinical Educator role in an Education Department in regional medical center within Southern New Mexico.

We are able to offer a preceptorship in our Education Department for those interested in becoming a clinical educator in the hospital setting. Our hospital is a 100 bed regional medical center and the Education Department covers the educational needs of all 1300 staff.

I serve as a unit based educator for MedSurg, Telemetry, Pediatrics and Observation units. I plan and implement staff in-services, product and process change education, orientation and onboarding of new hires, and many additional offerings. My role is clinical, is based on the inpatient unit and often requires me to be at the bedside. I am happy to work virtually with a student if this meets the requirements of the college or university.
