Located near Cape Coral, FL.

Nursing Informatics Preceptor:
The Preceptor:
• must hold a master’s degree or doctoral degree
• must hold an active RN license in the U.S.
• must hold an unencumbered RN license in the state where the student's Host Site is located or hold a
multi-state license in another state, allowing the Preceptor to practice in the student's Host Site state.
• must have at least 2 years of experience in the student’s chosen nursing specialty (education,
informatics, or leadership & management).
• must not precept more than two students at any one time.
The Preceptor:
• signs the Preceptor Agreement form
• facilitates learning opportunities and provides information and expertise.
• responds to student questions in a timely fashion, using mutually-agreeable channels and timing.
• helps the student apply their coursework to current healthcare industry and provides context and real
world relevance.
• signs student CPE Activity Records.
• student submits Activity Records electronically.
•preceptor receives automated emails when Activity Records are ready for Preceptor's
electronic signature
