Labor and Delivery Nurse New

Pride Health is seeking a L&D RN for a 13-week contract (with high possibility of extension) at a healthcare facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87109. This is a great opportunity for experienced candidates to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment while gaining valuable experience.

Shift: Days | 4x12

Hours per Week: 48 hours

Travel Pay: $3400/week

Key Responsibilities:

A Labor and Delivery RN provides care and support to mothers before, during, and after childbirth. They monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and labor progression, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby. L&D nurses assist with epidurals, induce labor when necessary, and provide emotional support throughout delivery. They collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals during labor and emergencies. Post-delivery, they care for newborns and educate mothers on breastfeeding and postpartum care. L&D RNs must act quickly in critical situations, demonstrating strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and compassion during this vital stage of care.

Experience:

L&D RN Days option of 36 or 48 hours

First-time travelers welcome

2 Years experience required

Required Certifications: ACLS; AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP
